A highly recommended excursion is a visit to the Kiel Canal (Nord-Ostsee-Kanal, NOK), which is only 15 minutes from the holiday home. The canal offers kilometers of walking and cycling paths, and of course dogs are very welcome. Here you can experience the impressive large ships passing through the canal up close. Numerous restaurants and charming cafés along the canal ensure that refreshments are always close at hand.
